Type Imaginary Project


An interactive website using HTML, CSS, and Javascript that asks and answers the question: What do you picture when you think of type?

This question was posed to me in my Experimental Typography course. Knowing there were so many opinions that exist surrounding this question, each one with the potential of being argued and contended against, I decided to go with the most factual and correct answer in our contemporary times—that typefaces are collections of data on our computers. 

This website explores the numbers and data that makes up a typeface, using the lowercase “a” as the medium of comparison. Check out the website full-screen here or explore below.
